Rates
Standard lessons are charged at £21 per hour. NUS, NHS and armed forces staff benefit from £19 per hour standard lessons. When buying a block of 10, students qualify for £19 per hour lessons totalling £190, to be paid in advance or at the end of the first of the ten lessons.
Pass Plus for ex-students is charged at £120 for the 6 hour modular course. New students are charged £140 for Pass Plus.
Lessons
Lessons can be taken in one, one and a half and two hour slots. The length of the lesson will be one full hour. If we are return late due to unforseen circumstances I cannot be held responsible. Please be ready to start the lesson on time, the start time of your lesson is from the time you have booked. If you have prebooked a lesson and I arrive at your house/college or place of work and you are not there, I will wait a maximum of 15 minutes before leaving for my next lesson. When a lesson is prebooked and you do not show, you will incur a late cancellation fee. See cancellations for more details.
Contact
I have my mobile phone with me all day, however, I often teach for the entire day and may only be able to reply at the end of the day. Please leave a message if you need to tell me something. If you leave no message I will have to assume that you do not need to speak to me and I will not call you back. If you are not able to make a lesson, you need to speak with me. A text message is not good enough as messages go missing or are not always received.
I endevour to check my email once a day, so if this is easier then contact me via this method. Please bear in mind that contact via email will usually mean a slower response.
Cancellations
If you need to change or cancel a lesson, then I need at least 24 hours notice so I can fill your space. Informing me on the day, the hour before or making me turn up at your house and then telling me you are not well will incur a cancellation fee. The first time this happens the fee is £21 for the lost hour. The second time it is £42 for the lost hour, plus the time wasted either side driving too and from your house along with the cost of fuel for the jouney. The third time is the last time and you will need to look for a new instructor. If you have paid for ten lessons in advance and cancel three times in a row, in total you will loose 6 hours worth of lessons and the rest will be refunded.
Exam
The exam itself will also count as a lesson costing £21 (unless you qualifiy for a discount). It is your resonsibility to make sure that you have all your documents ready for the exam. If on the day, you discover that you are missing your licence and cannot take your exam, you will have to cancel resulting in a double cancellation charge (£21 for the hour before hand and £21 for the exam itself).
