In a cryptic press release, British performance car firm Lotus has confirmed it will unveil a supercar concept at the Paris Motor Show.

The show car will be the precursor to a Ferrari rival, putting Lotus into supercar territory for the first time since the Esprit, which ceased production in 2004. That car was launched 35 years ago at the 1975 Paris Motor Show.
