Another Strike!

Yet another strike is on the cards for driving examiners, this time it's on April 5th. That has to be at least once a month these days examiners are striking. Driving examiner strike on 30 November: candidates urged to attend tests

Driving test candidates with a test on Friday 30 November should still come for their test despite the threat of strike action by examiners.

Driving examiners who are members of the Public and Commercial Services (PCS) union could take strike action on Friday 30 November 2012.

DSA's Chief Executive Rosemary Thew said:

Driving examiner strike!

For all those who have a driving exam in the 8th and 9th of March, I've bad news. Here is the email I've just received.

"The Public and Commercial Services (PCS) union is asking its members to take strike action on Monday and Tuesday, 8 and 9 March.

If you have a driving test booked for either day, we ask you to attend as scheduled.

We won’t know the effects of the strikes until the day as not all of our examiners and staff are members of the union.

Driving tests across Bristol this morning are off. I've been up to Southmead test centre this morning and have spoken to the manger who tells me this mornings are all off, however, they may run the afternoon tests depending on how the road conditions improve.

If your test is cancelled then you should recieve a letter within 3 to 5 working days telling you when the test has been rescheduled for. Extra staff will be laid on to accomadate all the extra tests that will be squeezed in, you are pr...
