Matt Dawson has recently embarked on a fuel saving challenge, seeing him drive from Preston to London trying to use as little diesel as possible. Toyota GB recalls 75,000 cars

CAR GIANT Toyota is recalling around 75,000 models in the UK due to a possible steering fault. The UK recall is part of a 2.77 million worldwide recall by the Japanese company which has had to recall millions of vehicles in recent years due to a series of problems. The latest incident for UK drivers involves certain Avensis and Corolla models from July 2001 to March 2009 and for some Prius models from July 2003 to April 2009. Supermarkets cut fuel prices

HUNDREDS of supermarket filling stations will be offering cheaper fuel from today. Asda led the way by announcing a 2p cut in petrol and diesel, then rival Sainsbury's, followed later by Tesco, said they would be cutting their fuel by "up to 2p a litre". Asda said its reductions would mean motorists paying no more than 131.7p a litre for petrol and 137.7p a litre for diesel. Kia recalls cee'd and Picanto

Kia has recalled 468 cee'd and 6,585 Picanto models in the
UK after identifying safety issues. The cee'd recall relates to a
brake problem on cars equipped with ESP (Electronic Stability
Programme). According to Kia, affected cars could 'suffer insufficient
brake force,' although the company is keen to stress there have been no

Late goals to blame for car crashes

Almost half a million car crashes are the result of drivers losing
control after late goals, according to new research. Insurance
company More Than says research suggests football fans lose control at
the wheel when they hear their team score, a problem termed Final Score
Syndrome. "With the Premier League coming to a thrilling
