Citroen has released the first official pictures of its second DS model - the new DS4. The DS4 will be unveiled in the metal at the Paris Motor Show on September 30 and follows the existing DS3 into production. At
4.27m long, 1.81m wide and 1.53m high, the DS4 is quite short, tall and
wide when compared to its predecessor, the outgoing Citroen C4. Such
proportions and the high ground clearance make the DS4 more of a
crossover than a traditional hatchback, so it will go head-to-head with

Learning
Finding a space in a town centre is a job in itself and
avoiding rip-off multi-storey car parks is a must if you want to save
cash. But where you can leave your car and for how long can be confusing - and cheeky traffic wardens dine out on your bewilderment. The
Government has announced that new legislation will come into force in
November to ban clamping on private land, so drivers can breathe a small
sigh of relief, but there's still plenty of ambiguity about parking in
public areas... Continue reading ...

Car reviews
Lotus will reveal the new, faster Evora S at the Paris
Motor Show next month. The British company will also unveil an automatic
version of the Evora, which is something of an unusual move for a
manufacturer of 'pure' sports cars. The Evora S is capable of
0-62mph in just 4.8 seconds (compared to 5.1 seconds for the standard
car) and its top speed is 172mph. It's 3.5-litre, Toyota-sourced engine is mounted in the middle of the car and develops 345bhp, while emitting 235g/km of CO2. The

Motoring news
Seven out of ten drivers regularly get angry with other
road users, and almost a third say it has a negative affect on their
driving. Those are the shocking findings of research by the
Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM), which asked drivers what they
found most irritating behind the wheel. Unsurprisingly,
tailgating came out on top, followed by other drivers on the phone, with
28- and 22 percent of the vote respectively. The survey also
revealed that many respondents were ignorant... Continue reading ...

Ford insiders have confirmed that a high performance
version of the all-new Focus will take price of place on its Paris Motor
Show stand next month. The debut of the Ford Focus has been an
unusually drawn out affair, so the move is designed to drum up interest
in a car that was, essentially, unveiled back in January at the Detroit
Motor Show. The forthcoming Focus is the first ever 'global'
version, which means that there's hardly any difference between US and
European models. Only sl... Continue reading ...
